A whole-school approach to real life education.

What is Transform?

Taking a whole-school approach that is tailored to the specific needs of each  school community, Transform helps students to develop a strong set of 21st century life skills, to feel part of a thriving community, and to engage in healthy Rites of Passage.

Why does Transform exist?

Recent studies have highlighted that effective school-based wellbeing programs, which are tailored to the school’s context and include the broader school community, significantly improve students’ social emotional skills, attitudes, behaviours and academic performance.

Co-created by Man Cave and The Rites of Passage Institute (ROPI), Transform combines ROPI’s extensive wellbeing consulting and training experience with Man Cave’s facilitation and delivery expertise and effects whole-school transformation for the long-term, sustainable benefit of staff, students, parents and the wider  school community.

How Transform works

Taking a socio-ecological approach involving students, staff and parents to ensure sustainability of impact over time, Transform is not a one-size-fits-all model. Rather, it is structured as a modular suite of programs that can be customised for specific school requirements.

The programs that comprise Transform include school community presentations and parent and student events, through to visioning and planning retreats and leadership training experiences at ROPI in NSW’s Northern Rivers region.

Evidence-backed wellbeing transformation

The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leaderships has explored the research conducted in the field of effective social and emotional learning (SEL) programs. Studies have highlighted that effective school-based wellbeing programs, tailored to a school’s context and including the broader school community, significantly improve students’ social-emotional skills, attitudes, behaviours and academic performance. Further to this, MMG Educations’ Benchmark Database states that 95% of parents’s choice of school for their children relates to the school’s focus on student wellbeing.
