Mother & Son
Boys aged 10–13
2 nights
A 3-day camp for you to connect and build foundations for the teen years ahead.
This time between childhood and adolescence doesn’t last long. This camp gives you and your son three days together to not only connect, but to understand the changes that are happening for both of you and how this affects your relationship. Time to reconnect, to listen, and to build a foundation strong enough to support you both through the challenges ahead.
“A very profound step into the unknown with my son that took us on a guided and supported journey. I was deeply moved by what we were helped to uncover in terms of our relationship and my own personal growth.”

Frequently asked questions.
Who is this camp for?
What actually happens on the program?
Three days in nature with your son, away from the noise of everyday life. Time to slow down, play, talk, and reconnect at an age when the relationship is starting to shift.
The program is a mixture of games and activities alongside a more reflective side, where we share stories, spend time around the fire, and take part in facilitated discussion. Your son will be held by experienced facilitators, mentors and supportive adults who know how to walk alongside boys this age.
Are the camps religious in nature?
Getting here
Our camps are held at our beautiful purpose built facility in the Byron Bay hinterland, on the North East coast of NSW.
The closest airports are the Gold Coast and Ballina, both around an hour’s drive from the site. We usually find the Gold Coast offers cheaper fares as it’s larger and has more flights.
As we’re in a regional area, public transport isn’t an option. If you’d like to carpool from the airport, please let us know and we’ll connect you with others also travelling. Alternatively, an Uber from the airport costs around $150 each way.
Full directions are sent to you before camp.

What are the sleeping arrangements?
What about phones and devices?
One of the most powerful parts of camp is stepping away from screens entirely. Without the pull of notifications, conversations go deeper and the boys settle into being present with each other.
We ask that phones, watches and other devices are left at home or in your car for the duration of camp. We’ll have staff on site taking photographs, which we share with you afterwards.
What are the facilities like?
Is food provided?
What should I pack?
Water bottle, hat, torch or headlamp, sunscreen and insect repellent, sturdy walking shoes, warm clothes for the evening, a rain jacket, toiletries and a towel. Swimwear is optional.
We have full days planned, so please leave sporting equipment and games at home.
What is the weather like?
Byron hinterland weather can differ from the Byron Bay forecast, and the mountains are known for making their own weather, so please pack for all conditions.
As a rough guide, May days are typically 22 to 24°C dropping to around 11 to 13°C overnight. August days are around 20 to 22°C dropping to 9 to 11°C, so nights are genuinely cold. October days are around 24 to 26°C dropping to 14 to 16°C.
We send a specific forecast out closer to camp so you can pack accordingly.
